Facial Rejuvenation
What is Facial Rejuvenation?
Facial Rejuvenation (often referred to as cosmetic acupuncture) combines warm compresses; neck, face and scalp massage; gentle acupuncture; facial cupping; Chinese herbs; and nutrition to create healthier, younger-looking skin. It is a holistic, non-surgical therapy that reduces the signs of aging by treating both the face directly and the underlying causes of aging. More than just a cosmetic procedure, it is a revitalization method that makes the whole person look and feel younger. |
What does it do?
Facial Rejuvenation helps to brighten and smooth out the complexion, reduce fine lines, get rid of puffiness around the eyes, minimize dark circles, brighten the eyes, lift mild sagging of the jowls, and create a more youthful, energizing appearance. It can also address sinus issues, tension headaches, TMJ dysfunction, eye stress, and bells palsy (facial paralysis and drooping).
Preparing for your appointment.
Complete the online Facial Rejuvenation Patient Form (see Forms) and submit. Wear or bring loose comfortable clothing and eat lightly before your treatment. If possible, wear minimal or no make-up to your session.
Commonly Asked Questions
Are there any side-effects?
There are virtually no side-effects from facial rejuvenation. Only high quality and organic products are used on the skin. Acupuncture needles come in sterile packaging and are used only once. Facial rejuvenation is non-invasive and will not stretch or burn the skin or cause swelling or puffiness. There is no recovery time so you can return to normal activity immediately after treatment.
How many treatments will I need to get results?
The recommended treatment plan is once per week for ten consecutive weeks. To maintain results, it is recommended that you receive tune-up treatments every 4-6 weeks.
How long is each treatment?
Your initial session will take 2 hours. Subsequent sessions run approximately 1 1/2 hours.
How much does it cost?
Individual Session: $125. Discount packages available.
What 's included in a session?
A full session runs approximately 90 minutes. Each session begins with a gentle cleansing of the skin and is followed by a neck, shoulder, and facial massage. Moist, warm towels are applied to the skin to increase circulation and relax the facial muscles. Facial cupping is also used to draw out toxins and increase surface circulation. Sterilized, ultra thin acupuncture needles are inserted into various facial points and body points to relax and rejuvenate the body and soul.
