Sinus Relief Acupuncture
This treatment is specifically designed for the person who suffers from seasonal allergies, chronic allergies, and/or chronic sinus infections and head colds, Acupuncture is very effective in minimizing symptoms related to these conditions.
Treatment
Treatment begins with a warm, moist facial compress to loosen the mucus and increase circulation. This is followed by a shoulder, neck, and facial massage which helps to relax the muscles and relieve pain. Acupuncture needles are then inserted into various points to clear the sinuses, relieve sinus pressure, soothe the eyes, and address headache. In addition, acupuncture aims to treat the root problem and other mitigating factors (i.e., diet, sleep habits, exercise, and stress). |
Treatment Recommendations
For seasonal allergies, it is recommended you receive treatment during the spring and fall seasons when allergies are usually at their worst. Chronic allergies may require more ongoing treatment. For sinus infections, it is recommended you receive treatment two times per week for a couple weeks. Everyone's needs are different so recommendations will vary.
