Orange Ginger Dressing
|
I am obsessed over this Asian-inspired salad dressing. It is so flavorful and really easy to make. It works great over a crisp romaine salad with cucumber, red onion, shredded carrots, and red pepper. Instead of croutons on top, sprinkle with some sesame sticks. Whole Foods use to carry them. I order them from Amazon now. You could also use it in a stir fry with rice noodles, bok choy, carrots, bell pepper, shrimp, or whatever you like. It is not spicy hot, but you can add some chili flakes to it.
Ingredients 1/3 cup olive oil or other mild tasting oil 1/4 cup rice vinegar, seasoned or regular 1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice 1 teaspoon orange zest 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard 2 teaspoons honey 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, chopped fine 1 clove garlic, chopped fine 1/4 teaspoon chili pepper flakes (optional) Note: you can chop up the ginger and garlic at the same time in the food processor. It's faster. Directions 1. Combine the oil, vinegar, tamari, orange juice, Dijon mustard, and honey together in a bowl. Whisk until emulsified. 2. Add the ginger, garlic, and chili pepper flakes (if using) and stir. Cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours to allow the flavors to marinate. |
